Today I’ve come to lighten your load and stress levels lol! I’ve come up with a dish that’s a classic, traditional favorite that all kids love! These kid-approved Sloppy Joe Sliders with Sweet Potatoes are super yummy and super easy to make.
Sweet potatoes, you ask?? Yes! If your kids are anything like mine, you know that getting them to eat veggies can be very challenging. In my recipes, I always try to find a few creative ways to add in a few veggies in here and there.

How to Make Sloppy Joe Sliders with Sweet Potatoes
These Sloppy Joe Sliders with Sweet Potatoes were a breeze to make! Start by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and the shredded sweet potato. Using a spoon, break up the meat and stir until browned.
Next, add in the onion and garlic and continue to cook until the onions are translucent.
To make the homemade Sloppy Joe Sauce, whisk together the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Add the sauce to the meat mixture and stir until the meat is fully cooked and sauce is evenly combined. Season with salt/pepper to taste. Let simmer for 5 minutes and set aside.
Cut the dinner rolls in half and place the bottom half in a baking dish. Add Swiss cheese slices and top with meat. Place the top of the rolls back on top and brush the rolls with melted butter, and sprinkle with minced onion.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until rolls are toasted and cheese is melted.

Sloppy Joe Sliders with Sweet Potatoes
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 sweet potato peeled & shredded
- 1 onion diced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 8 slices swiss cheese
- 15 Hawaiian Rolls
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
- Salt/pepper to taste
For the Sloppy Joe Sauce:
- 2 cups ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
