As a mother of 2 very active boys, I always take advantage of any opportunity to grab a quick snack lol! Sometimes I get so busy to the point where I forget to eat. Crazy, right? But, I know I’m not alone.
Being a mom is hard work, especially when you have other work to do, not to mention cleaning, etc. Whew! So, this Mother’s Day, I’m sharing a recipe to honor all you hardworking moms out there!
These ‘MOM’ cakes are just the thing for mom’s sweet tooth cravings! I mean, how cute are these? Super easy to make too! All you need are a few simple ingredients: your favorite yellow box cake mix, letter cutters, icing, and sprinkles for decoration.
Whip up your cake mix and pour into a 13×9 inch, greased baking dish. Bake and let it cool. Once cool, slice in half, so that you have two, thin 13×9 inch cakes. Take your letter cookie cutters and cut out the letters to spell ‘MOM’.
Next, add the frosting into a piping bag with a 1/2″ hole and pipe the frosting onto the letters, and then stack them. Top with sprinkles or even edible glitter!
These MOM cakes are such a fun recipe to make with the kids, so get to baking for Mother’s Day! Let me know how yours turned out in the comments below!
