Do you love pranking your kids as much as I do?! Have a little fun this year and and whip up a batch of these fun April Fool’s Day recipes to trick your kids! You’ll get the last laugh for sure! Ha!
Here in our home, I’m ALWAYS the butt of a joke or prank LOL! My boys are forever trying to scare me or play some kind of trick on me! But, I can’t say I’m completely innocent hehehe!! They absolutely get their sneaky and mischievous ways from ME! I LOVE pranking my boys and do it quite often. So, they’ve learned from the best!
This year, for April Fool’s Day, I’m going ALL the way out with these “sunny-side-up eggs,” “ice cream cones,” and “chocolate truffles.” Why the quotations, you ask? Well… they’re not really eggs, OR ice cream, OR truffles. Ha! Did I have you fooled too?!
The sunny-side-up eggs are actually vanilla Greek yogurt and apricot halves. And it’s super easy to make.
How to Make Fake Sunny-Side-Up Eggs:
Place a dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt on a plate for the egg white and spread it out to make a circle. Next, carefully place a half of canned apricot in the middle for the yolk.
To make it look even more realistic, serve it with a piece of toast. What a delicious twist on a sunny-side-up!
Next on the prank list, we have ice cream cones that are actually made with creamy mashed potatoes, topped with sprinkles!
How to Make Mashed Potato Ice Cream Cones:
Simply prepare a few servings of instant mashed potatoes and scoop some mashed potatoes into an ice cream cone.
Top with sprinkles and serve to your unexpecting friends and family.
And last but not least, we have these decadent chocolate truffles that are really made with Brussels sprouts!
