Whether your kids are craving something sweet or savory, these easy healthy lunch ideas will be sure to satisfy their hungry tummies!
Thanks, Sprouts Farmers Market, for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are truly my own.
Let’s face it…mornings are hectic. And packing a healthy lunch for your kids can add to the frustration, especially if you don’t know where to start. As moms, we know that a healthy lunch is essential to keeping our kids fueled throughout the day, which is why I love to pack my kids’ lunches in Bento Boxes.
Bento Boxes have become very popular. They allow for easier lunch prep without wasting multiple baggies. And as an added bonus, the individual compartments are the perfect portion sizes.
To help keep things organized, I like to prep and shop for our lunch ingredients on Sundays. I like to bring the kids with me to get them involved with choosing healthier food choices. One of our favorite places to shop is Sprouts Farmers Market.
We love Sprouts because they have some of the freshest finds to fuel our back-to-school routine! They always offer an incredible variety of products that are both healthy and delicious. When picking out items for my kids’ lunches, I make sure that I stock up on plenty of fruits and veggies…and Sprouts Coconut Rolls!
My kids can’t get enough of those Coconut Rolls! I always include a serving in their lunchbox for dessert and I always receive the biggest hugs, followed by “Yayy, Thanks Mommy!” 😊
When putting together their lunches, I like to mix things up and pack them a sweet or savory Bento Box. The entrée will usually include a simple sandwich or a whole wheat ham or turkey wrap.
For a Savory Bento Box:
I like to use veggies such as edamame, tomatoes, broccoli, and cauliflower. I also add a couple of tablespoons of ranch dressing for dipping, and a serving of Sprouts Coconut Rolls for dessert!
For a Sweet Bento Box:
I like to use carrots, strawberries, blueberries, and apples. I also add a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter for dipping. And of course, a serving of Sprouts Coconut Rolls for dessert!
Once everything is in place, show it to your kids and bask in their smiles and nods of approval! You’ll definitely earn the title of “Cool Mom!”
