These make the perfect gift for any special person in your family’s life. And super easy to make too! All you need are a few things:
Supplies:
- colored construction paper
- pencil
- 18-gauge floral wire
- scissors
- hot glue gun
How to Make a Beautiful Handprint Flower Bouquet:
Step 1: Trace your kids or students’ handprints on a piece of colored construction paper and cut them out.
Step 2: Cut several strips of yellow or orange construction paper that will be used as the flower stems. Cut slices into the paper strips starting from one edge and leaving about half an inch of space on the other end.
Step 3: Apply glue to one end of the yellow strip and stick it to the top of the flower wire. For best results, I recommend using a hot glue gun for this process. Roll the paper around the flower wire and glue the other end.
Step 4: Take each handprint and curl the paper fingers to the outside using a pencil. Wrap 2 handprints around a stem, connect the base of the hands and glue them in place.
When done, gather all of the flowers and arrange them in a nice bouquet. For an extra special presentation, try wrapping them in brown paper and cinch it with a colorful ribbon, or place the flowers in a colorful base.
