When most people think of a charcuterie board, they typically think of meat, cheese, and other savory items, but over the past few years these boards have evolved. Nowadays, charcuterie boards have been used as a clever way to serve up everything from breakfast foods to snacks and desserts.
HOW TO ASSEMBLE A HOT COCOA CHARCUTERIE BOARD
All charcuterie boards all begin with a large platter, plate, or cutting board. Since I was making this for my family of 4, I decided to do use two smaller cutting boards as my base, so that everyone could easily serve themselves.
Since the theme of this board is hot cocoa, I started by placing a bowl of hot cocoa mix on the board, along with a variety of marshmallows. I used a simple cocoa mix that I purchased from my local grocery store.

The rest of the items are completely customizable, but we decided to add a few cookies, chocolate candy, and of course, a few candy canes! Arrange these items around the hot cocoa mix and fill in the smaller spaces with items such as sprinkles, cinnamon sticks, or small holiday candies.
The kids had a lot of fun helping me put the items on the boards, but for some reason, a lot of the ingredients ended up missing lol! I think they were doing a few quality assurance tests behind my back! 😊
When the DIY Holiday Hot Cocoa Charcuterie Boards were done, we placed them on the coffee table and filled our Christmas mugs with warm mix in preparation for our hot cocoa. It was the perfect treat, and I’m excited to say that it’s one of our new holiday traditions!
