Looking for a fun treat to Celebrate Earth Day? Grab the kids and make these super cute and creative Dirt & Worm Pudding Parfaits for Earth Day! They will LOVE it!
Here lately, I have enjoyed coming up with clever treats for the kids! See my April Fool’s post here! I just love the idea of making a treat that doesn’t look edible, but totally is! LOL! So, of course I had to pull out all the stops for Earth Day!
I came up with this super yummy and creative Worms and Dirt Dessert! It’s a lesson and fun treat ALL IN ONE! To make this dessert, all you need are a few ingredients like chocolate pudding, Oreo cookies, and your favorite flavored worms.
Whip up the chocolate pudding according to instructions, or use pre-made chocolate pudding. Then, crumble the Oreo cookies. Start layering the pudding mixture and cookies , one after the other. And finally, top with the worms! Now you have the PERFECT treat for Earth Day!
Here are some Earth Day fun facts:
- When worms eat, they break down and recycle the matter within the soil which helps naturally fertilize the earth and ensure it’s packed with much needed nutrients.
- Earthworms loosen, mix, and oxygenate the soil as they wriggle through it.
- They are a great protein-rich food source for important species like birds, hedgehogs and frogs.
- Worms keep the Earth’s soil healthy, and help clean up contaminated land. They may have a ‘dirty’ reputation, but they clean-up very well! LOL!
Let me know how you like this fun dessert in the comments below! Enjoy!
