St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17th, which means bring out all your good luck charms, pots of gold, and of course, all things green! Why do we wear green, anyway? Great question!
We wear green so those pesky little leprechauns won’t pinch us…. OUCH!! Tradition tells us that the color green makes you invisible to the leprechauns. So, the more green you wear, the better! Whew! Anytime there’s an opportunity to makes crafts with my kids, I take it! There’s nothing like watching their sweet little faces light up as our projects come to life.
For St. Patrick’s Day, we decided to make these super fun DIY Shamrock Necklaces! All you need is yarn or twine, a box of Fruit Loops or Cheerios (choose your favorite), and my FREE shamrock printables!! That’s right, they’re FREE!!
My boys enjoyed cutting out their own shamrock and pulling the cereal down the yarn. We all had fun making these, and eating the cereal – y’all, they turned out soooooo cute!
