Thanksgiving is tomorrow and my kids are super excited! My oldest son is excited about helping daddy with the turkey, and my youngest son is excited about eating all of the delicious food!
Last week, my kids asked me about making Thanksgiving Cards. I thought that it was a neat idea, but it caught me off guard! I wasn’t expecting to start the holiday crafts until December, but since they really wanted to make these cards, I decided to give it a try!

I wanted these Thanksgiving Cards be really special, so I thought to make them by using their little hands! There’s nothing cuter than seeing crafts made with your kid’s little hands?! They were a cinch to make! All you need are a few things.
SUPPLIES:
- Colored Craft Paper
- Scissors
- Stickers and other decorative elements
- Markers
I started by folding the colored craft paper in half and tracing their hands along the fold. I usually keep a convenient package of craft paper on hand that I purchased from Amazon. Click HERE to check it out.
To keep the tracing process easy, I made a stencil of my kids’ hands so that I could cut out several cards without having them place their hands on the paper every single time. I’m also saving these hand stencils to create a few Christmas crafts too!

After I cut out the cards, I let the boys decorate them with these felt stickers that I had on hand. I love these stickers because they are very durable and they add a special touch. Click HERE to check them out.
When the cards were decorated, we wrote sweet messages inside of them. As you can see, when these cards are opened, they look like two hands giving thanks to someone special 😊.
I think that these DIY Thanksgiving Cards turned out great! These cards are perfect to give to teachers, classmates, parents, or anyone that could use a little sunshine in their life!
