Hi! I’m Andy, the creator of Little Eats & Things. I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, wife, and mommy to two of the sweetest…yet busiest…little boys! As Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, you can imagine that I only want my kids eating tons of veggies, quinoa, and other “superfoods” EVERYDAY, right?? WRONG!!!
Of course I will always encourage healthy behaviors and habits when it comes to food, but I’m also a realist! And I love cookies, cake, and pizza just like anyone else! My approach is simple! I like to encourage parents to allow their kids to enjoy the foods they love, while also introducing them to new foods that may have a higher nutritional value!
A little background info:
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Concentration: Dietetics and my Master’s Degree in Health Studies/Health Promotion. I have been a Licensed/Registered Dietitian since 2009, and I have worked in a few different settings: Clinical, Public Health, and Long Term Care.
My hobbies include tackling small DIY projects around the house and creating yummy recipes with my kids, which inspired me to create Little Eats & Things!
Here, at Little Eats & Things, we like to make food fun, while teaching simple key factors such as proper portions, understanding hunger and satiety cues, and not labeling food as good or bad! I’ve made it my mission to provide you with tasty, wholesome recipes, the latest nutritional information, and tons of FUN….all in one place!
Thanks again, for stopping by!
